Forensic Analytical Chemistry Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position

Western Illinois University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, in the area of forensic analytical chemistry, beginning August 2015.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have a Ph.D. in chemistry or related sciences with a background in forensic chemistry, including forensic analytical analysis techniques. An ABD will be considered, however the Ph.D. must be completed prior to receiving tenure-track status. Applicants must be able to play a key role in WIU’s signature B.S. Forensic Chemistry program. Applicants must also have excellent written and oral communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching experience and post-doctoral research preferred. Applicants capable of fostering our B.S. Chemistry-Pharmacy option, as well as the B.S. Forensic Chemistry program, are preferred. Applicants with experience mentoring undergraduate research are also preferred.
