Fellowships for Graduate Studies at the Institute for Shock Physics

GRADUATE STUDIES:  Graduate students from a range of disciplines (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Applied Mathematics)  have the opportunity to study the response of materials at extreme conditions with internationally renowned scientists at the Institute for Shock Physics (ISP).

Graduate students working within their respective academic departments and ISP will conduct exciting research projects for their Ph.D. degrees.  The Institute emphasizes partnerships with faculty members from other major academic institutions and researchers from the National Laboratories to address significant scientific challenges, including research conducted at the National Laboratories’ User Facilities.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Competitive financial support is available for outstanding Ph.D. students.
