Tenure Track Organic Chemistry Opening at University of Michigan-Dearborn

At University of Michigan-Dearborn, we have an opening for a tenure-track position in Organic Chemistry starting Fall 2017.  Our department is interdisciplinary consisting of faculty from Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Earth and Environmental Sciences that collaborate on a multitude of projects.

Our completely renovated Natural Sciences Building just reopened this fall semester.  This 51 million dollar project now provides us with small size teaching classrooms as well as teaching and research laboratories.  In Chemistry we have six brand new teaching laboratories and six research laboratories.  Our new hire will occupy one of the new research laboratories, which contains three hoods.  In addition to these spacious laboratories clustered by research interest, we have access to modern instrumentation: 440 MHz NMR, several GC/MS, IR, UV-vis, and HPLC instruments.  For an individual interested in combining teaching and research at the undergraduate level, this is a very attractive opportunity.
