University of Michigan 41st Annual Macromolecular Science & Engineering Symposium

Good Morning,

The Macromolecular Science and Engineering Program at the University of Michigan is pleased to announce its 41st Annual Symposium, Emergent Polymer Science & Engineering taking place on October 18th and 19th, 2017. Registration is now open and student poster submissions are being accepted!

We invite undergraduate attendees to apply for travel grant support to help cover cost of travel and accommodations.

October 18th: Beyond Academia – Scientific Career Pathways

A half-day (afternoon start) featuring short-courses on career pathways and a panel with industry representatives. The short course is intended for both undergraduate and graduate students, an evening networking dinner will be held following the talks.

October 19th: Emergent Polymer Science & Engineering

The research symposium and poster sessions, featuring invited talks by faculty and students. Industrial sponsors will have booth space during the poster sessions to connect with students. Poster awards will be given at the conclusion of the event at 3 PM.

Participants are able to register for both or just one of the days of the symposium. The poster session is open to all students and post-doctoral researchers and covers research in all areas of polymer science and engineering.  There is no registration fee. Two poster submissions will be elevated to invited talks, providing a fantastic opportunity to showcase research to leaders in the field.
