Graduate Student Symposium (GSS) at the University at Buffalo

The University at Buffalo, in Buffalo NY, is holding its 36th annual Chemistry Graduate Student Symposium (GSS) this May 21st-23rd. GSS is a unique symposium which since 1983 has been organized by graduate students, for graduate students. We focus on developing the professional skills of student presenters through interaction with peers and distinguished keynote speakers. The symposium is free of fees and registration in prior years has included around 150 students from all over the northeastern United States and Canada. We offer opportunities to present research in two forms, by poster or oral presentations.

To have your work displayed at this year’s GSS, please have your graduate students submit an abstract through our website (www.ubchemgss.org) and if you do not mind please forward this message to your graduate students.

We also have the honor of hosting three distinguished keynote speakers this year Dr. Malika Jeffries-EL from Boston University, Dr. Felix Castellano from North Carolina State University and Dr. Heather Desaire from University of Kansas. For more information on keynote speakers and scheduling, please see the attached flyer and feel free to visit our website or e-mail (chemistrybuffalogss@gmail.com).

We greatly appreciate your time and look forward to seeing your work represented in May!

Sincerely,
The Graduate Students of GSS
