• Optional paid 6-month Industrial Internship (extends the program to 21 months)
• 1000 hours of research guided by a Northwestern faculty mentor.
• Core education in bioprocess engineering theory and laboratory practice.
• New certificates in “Sustainability and Global Health Biotechnologies” and “Nanobiotechnology”
• Technology commercialization seminars on the legal, regulatory, business, and ethical aspects of biotechnology, many presented by industry professionals.
• Guided practice in critical thinking and scientific writing, as well as oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Placement and career development assistance provided by a full-time industrial liaison.
• Industrial Advisory Board members visit annually to provide guidance to the program and interact with MBP students.

Please take a few minutes to review the program materials at http://mbp.northwestern.edu/. MBP Director William Miller or Associate Director Igor Kourkine would be happy to discuss the program with you in more detail.
